Primus was selected to perform construction management services for mold abatement and temperature controlled environments at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport facility.
Insulated metal panel walls and ceiling were utilized to reconfigure their existing floor plan to provide more efficient handling and maintain temperature consistency of the prepared meals for airlines in this airport.
The refrigeration system included roof top package units with low velocity gentle air unit evaporators for employee comfort.
The existing acoustical ceiling, tile grid and tile flooring was replaced in multiple phases, allowing the owner to maintain productivity throughout the project's duration.
The existing mechanical system and structure was sterilized to prevent mold growth. The HVAC system was upgraded to deal with high localized areas of humidity.
Coordination was closely scheduled with critical tie-in and change over being performed in a daily four hour window so as not to disrupt operations.
