FFE Transportation Services, Inc. is one of the largest refrigerated and frozen food trucking companies in the US. Having outgrown its existing facility in Atlanta, FFE decided to build a new greenfield refrigerated truck terminal in the Lithonia Industrial Park.
The facility is 60,000 SF built on 13 acres. The building includes -10° Freezer, 35° Cooler and 65° Candy storage room along with an ambient dock, battery charging, maintenance and office for more than 30 employees. The site is designed for 100 trailers and 50 tractors.
Primus Builders provided the planning and RFP development then was awarded the project on a turnkey basis by FFE Transportation Services after a competitive process.
